01 Commitment to Privacy

At Connecto Network ("Connecto"), privacy and cryptographic defense are fundamental engineering principles. We believe that real-time developer communication, audio streams, and collaborative workspaces should remain strictly confidential.

        Core Promise: Connecto does not sell, monetize, rent, or trade your personal data, messages, or communication habits to advertisers or data brokers.
      

02 Data We Collect

We practice aggressive data minimization. The only data processed includes:

Account Information: Desired username, display name, public bio, and hashed password credentials (salted via Argon2id).
Channel Messages & Artifacts: Text messages, shared code files, and reactions sent in public or private guild channels.
Direct Messages: End-to-end encrypted mesh transmissions between participants.
Transient Telemetry: Ephemeral WebSocket ping metrics, packet latency (e.g., 12ms RTT), and crash logs required for network stability.

We do NOT collect phone numbers, real-world physical addresses, or tracking identifiers.

03 Audio Lounges & Spatial Stages

Voice lounges and audio stages are powered by peer-to-peer WebRTC and high-throughput Coturn media relays:

Voice packets (96kHz Opus) are transmitted in real time and are ephemeral.
Connecto does not record, transcribe, store, or train machine learning models on voice stage conversations.

04 Cookies & Local Storage

Connecto does not use third-party analytics trackers, advertising pixels, or behavioral cookies.

We strictly use secure, first-party browser local storage and essential session cookies for:

Keeping you securely logged into your account session.
Saving your UI preferences (dark mode theme, audio volume levels, sidebar collapse state).

05 Infrastructure & Cryptographic Protection

All platform traffic is secured using TLS 1.3 encryption in transit with HTTP/2 and modern cipher suites (ChaCha20-Poly1305 and AES-256-GCM). Data at rest in SQLite write-ahead log (WAL) engines is stored on encrypted NVMe partitions.

06 Your Rights (GDPR & CCPA)

Under European GDPR and California CCPA regulations, you have full ownership of your data:

Right to Access: You can export your message archive and account profile data.
Right to Rectification: You can update or correct your username, bio, and credentials at any time.
Right to Erasure (Be Forgotten): Deleting your account permanently purges your profile, session tokens, and cryptographic keys from our database immediately.
